Many traditional cities are currently going through a great deal of change, often at the detriment to the natural environment. With this in mind, we came up with the Ideal City Project—a daylong workshop that encourages kids to explore their own ideas of an ideal living environment. We work together with the kids to build a rendering of a more ideal future and we watch the kids bring their ideas to life on a collaborative mural. The result is a their own version of an ideal city built (or drawn, rather) on the foundation of a greater appreciation for our natural environment.
