June 2011

During a two-day workshop at the Nongyetjai school in Nongplalai, Thailand, students drew hundreds of characters, props and backgrounds.

Animation · Huntington Beach, California

December 2011

The drawings travelled to Marine View Middle School in Huntington Beach, California, where students turned them into animated sequences.

Sound · Colombia

March 2012

In Taganga, Colombia, children watched the animated sequences, went on a sound hunt and recorded the sounds for the film.

How it happened

Children in one country make the drawings. Children in a second country animate them. Children in a third country make the sound.

A documentary follows the process from one place to the next.
