Gallery: The Most Realistic Alien

Every alien in this guide was drawn by someone who was told one thing: "Draw an alien. Make it realistic."

Nobody told them what an alien looks like. So each drawing here is a first-hand report.

Aliens have been drawn in CRE8 workshops by children around the world, since the first Most Realistic Alien in Berlin in 2009.

Each alien has a label: its number, its name, where it lives, the artist, their age and the place. Where we know a fact, the label says it. Where we don't, the line stays empty. We would rather leave a gap than guess.

Every drawing is shown whole, the way it was made. No alien is ever graded.
